Unfortunately, I told you so, right here, in Aug.

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Hate to be right on this one, but I warned you in August that the Dems don’t care about re-election, that they would willingly lose control of Congress temporarily so that they could set up the “Doomsday Machine” of health care. Big loss for the Republic today.

  1. As a historian, citizen, husband, and future payer of this “flawed health care bill,” I am as angry as I’ve ever been.

I’m not angry at the Democrats, I knew what to expect from them. I’m angry at the people who NEVER study or keep up with politics and allowed themselves to fall to the lies of Barack Obama.

Elections have consequences, and to be honest, I tell people who voted for him that are now angry, “This is your fault, deal with it.”

  2. I know what you mean. A tiger is a tiger. Anyone who thought that the Dems wouldn’t do what they said they were going to do was a fool. Even when it means losing their seat, they have this utopian view that either a) it doesn’t affect me, and MY constituents will forget/forgive, or b) it’s still better for all in the long run. It’s derangement.

  3. A sad day for this country !!!!!!

  4. The Republicans haven’t given up. They are considering a motion to recommit, which, as I understand it, would JUST involve the abortion language, the point being that if that part of the bill is taken, a number of those guys would have to vote for the language. It could, still, wreak havok with their coalition.

  5. One word will describe the health care bill from now on…Stupak.

  6. Unfortunately, the starry-eyed dupes who bought in to this quest for utopia are leading the rest of us on a frog-march to dystopia.

  7. I saw it coming too, though I didn’t stop praying that people would wake up and change their minds (and votes!) before it was too late. I’m afraid that our beloved country is in for some stormy seas before this is over. And it isn’t over yet. We have to vote these people out and keep them out! We’ve got to teach real history again. We’ve got to embrace truth again. Thank you for the great book, btw. I bought it this past weekend and I’m loving it! And recommending it to everybody I know.

  8. Oops, oops, lookie, lookie what Stupak did today…
